Design Tools Update & Gen “B” Units Released–January 18, 2012

This week the Design Tools was software updated to revision 1.0.1.0 modifying the code base to fix nuisance program crashes and increase stability across multiple platforms.  Database files were streamlined to drastically reduce file size, making updates quicker on slower Internet connections while respecting those users with bandwidth caps.

This week also saw the release of the NEW “B” Generation of the KVS/KVD, TVS/TVD, BVS/BVD product line.  The “B” generation condensing units utilize the efficient K/T/BCL air cooled condenser reducing refrigerant charge and allowing for a “HIGH EFFICIENCY” version of all Copeland and Bitzer High, Medium and Low temperature application models.

Original “A” Generation models are now effectively obsolete. Existing quotes should be re-issued with the NEW models.

NEW Literature is available by following the links below and from within the Document Browser in Design Tools.

Load Programs Updated–Jan 17, 2012

The load calculation programs; Box Wizard, CalcRite and CalcuLoad were updated today to reflect the NEW “B” generation of the large vertical air condensing units.  All K/T/BEZA condensing units using Copeland scroll compressors had their model numbers changed from “M8” to “H8” to better reflect the condensing units potential application range.

The NEW “B” generation TVS/D, KVS/D and BVS/D condensing units are catalogued with Copeland and Bitzer compressors available in High, Medium and Low temperature applications.  Also available are HIGH EFFECIENCY models equipped with oversized condensers.

Design Tools Suite Goes Live

The vision of a single software package encompassing numerous tools to facilitate easy selection, specification, pricing, and ordering of Trenton, KeepRite and Bally Refrigeration Equipment has come to fruition with our new software package: Design Tools.

Design Tools includes the following programs:DesignTools2

  • Load Calculator
  • Air-Cooled Condenser Designer
  • NROES
  • Certified Print Generator
  • Service Parts List
  • Document Browser
  • Pi-Coil (coming)

When you run the NROES program and sign in, you will be presented with an opportunity to install Design Tools.  You will only see the brand associated with your NROES profile.

RetireMe

Click the link to open your browser where you will run the installer putting Design Tools on your desktop.  You can then start using the NEW Design Tools instead of the stand-alone NROES program.

Once you have Design Tools installed it is recommended that you uninstall NROES-8 from the Control Panel choosing to keep your existing user data if asked.  NROES-8 will expire January 1, 2012 so it is recommended that you upgrade to Design Tools sooner than later.

NROES Calendar Ship Dates

Calendar dates have been updated to reflect days in December and into 2012 when manufacturing will be closed and there will be no build to order equipment shipping.

There will be no manufacturing December 26th through to January 2nd.  The building will be closed December 26 and 27, 2011.  The facility will be open to ship parts and equipment shipping from stock December 28, 29 & 30.

Loadcalc Programs Updated–Dec 2, 2011

All three branded load calculation programs were updated this morning to correct the omission of some low temp Quiet-Line condensing units.  Models horsepower’s 4.5Hp, 5.5Hp and 6Hp were mistakenly missed in an earlier update expanding the product line.

Users can now select scroll low temperature models from 2Hp thru to 6Hp in the load calculation software; Box Wizard, CalcRite and Calcu-Load.

NROES New User Registrations Suspended

Requests for New User registrations for the NROES program have been suspended temporarily as we finalize some of the updates and upgrades to the Design Tools application.  Requests for new Users will be held until the updated NROES beta component has been released.

NROES Updates–November 17, 2011

You may have noticed NROES updating a few times today.  Data updates included option price corrections on Large Condensers and K/T/BE-Line units as well as option availability corrections on K/T/BMS/D condensing units.

Large condensers: KCL, TCL and BCL option ‘Fan Cycling in Pairs Less Controls"’ displayed incorrect pricing.  This has been corrected with the prices that match those printed in the List Price Book.

K/T/BE-Line (hermetic, scroll & semi): List Prices for options ‘Adj Dual Pressure Control (Johnson)’ and ‘Separate Johnson Low Pressure & High Pressure Controls’ have been adjusted to down.

The addition of Tecumseh Scroll compressors for Low Temperature operation are being entered in to the database and will be available soon.

K/T/BMS/D-Line: Missing option prices are being added to reflect the list currently published in the List price Books.

Pi-Coil Fluid Addition

Pi-Coil was updated today, November 10, 2011 with a new fluid: ISO VG 32 Oil.  This oil can be used as a hydraulic fluid but is most commonly used as machinery lubricant.
