NROES Regularly Scheduled Update (RSU5) for June 16, 2008.

Service Interruptions

Posted by nroes on May 21, 2008

On Monday May 19 the NROES server went down, sometime at 10:32 am.  It was brought back up at 8:05 am on Tuesday morning.  Originally it was presumed that there was an error with one of the drives in the RAID5 array, but when it went down again today (between 4:10 am and 9:10 am) it was discovered that it was the SCSI backplane (attached to the back of the drive cage) that was faulty.

The drives were removed from the server and placed into a backup server.  The array was rebuilt and everything is working fine again.

During the downtime no users would have been able to submit orders using NROES.  We are sorry for any inconvenience the outage may have caused.

NROES Regularly Scheduled Update (RSU4) for May 13, 2008

Items included in this update:

  1. Adjusted option availability on low profile hot gas defrost models.  Pre-assembled Hot Gas option no longer available for selection.  There are specific options available for hot gas defrost evaporators.
  2. Added option for sub-cooling circuit in condenser on all KES, TES & KES condensing units.

Maneurop Compressor Changes

Posted by nroes on April 27, 2008

maneuropDanfoss has changed their popular low temp Maneurop hermetic compressors. These compressors are used in the KEH/TEH/BEH condensing units. LTZ low temp hermetic compressors are now called NTZ. These new compressors are now available, NROES will be updated to reflect the electrical, capacity and model availability changes in RSU4.

For those who deal internationally; 4Hp, 6.5Hp & 7.5Hp low temperature models are no longer available in 200-220/3/50.

NROES Intermediate Update for April 23, 2008

Posted by nroes on April 23, 2008

Low Profile unit coolers (///) displayed “-PSC” at the end of the model numbers in yesterday’s update. Although all of these evaps come standard with PSC motors, the suffix “-PSC” is not supposed to be there.

The suffix was removed in this update.

RSU2 - Regularly Scheduled Update #2

Posted by nroes on April 15, 2008

NROES Regularly Scheduled Update (RSU2) for April 15, 2008.

Numerous data updates were made this time around. Items included in this update:

1) The Grasslin timeclock is no longer the standard defrost timer offered on our condensing units. Supply issues with Grasslin and/or their distributors have caused a switch back to the Paragon 8145 as our standard timeclock offering. Click the image to view the official email notification.

2) Bug fix for Contact List. That pesky bug that would NOT allow for Sold To or Ship To contact changes has finally been resolved and corrected in this update.

3) PSC motor electrical data now properly displays on Certified Prints for Half Round Evaporator coils (T-Line/BR/Roundell). Not quite sure how that one slipped thru the cracks for so long…

4) NEW printable Equipment Summary Form. May users have requested a simple printable Equipment Summary; it is now available. The new print form displays system parameters, all equipment, tagging and notes.

5) New model number nomenclature for Vertical Air Condensing units. Compressor manufacturer is now selectable on all BV/TV/KVS(D) units. See previous post: Vertical Air Cooled Condensing Units for complete details.

6) Additional Design Data for vertical Air-Cooled Condensers (BVC/TVC/KVC). Now select Single Circuit or 2-Equal Circuits along with control circuit voltage and FPI when selecting options for vertical airflow condensers.

7) Service Parts Listing has been updated, current to April 11/08.

Vertical Air Cooled Condensing Units

Posted by nroes on April 9, 2008

They are going to get a little mixed up in NROES, sorry…there was just no way around it.  If you edit any existing orders/quotes created prior to the release of RSU2 (sometime next week), you may receive a message stating that the “model is no longer available”, or “model is not found”.  The vertical style condensing units will now have a complete compressor lineup as catalog models.  In order to distinguish between compressor manufacturers, we have added an extra letter to the model number, hence the reason for the message as the existing orders/quotes will not have this additional letter in the model number.

** If you need to edit a Vertical air condensing unit on existing quote or order, then you WILL NEED TO RE-SELECT the condensing unit.  This will allow the system to properly display the new model number with the additional letter in the nomenclature.

RSU1 - Regularly Scheduled Update #1

Posted by nroes on April 2, 2008

Starting Tuesday April 1, 2008 I will be naming each Regularly Scheduled Update with a sequential number; RSU1, RSU2, RSU3 etc. This will make it easier for users to keep track of updates and changes to the NROES database. This will complement the email sent to all registered users when major updates to the database are made.

RSU1 - Changes additions etc:

1) Email sent from Tim Charlick outlining changes to Lead Times on all condensing units. Lead Times have returned to normal; NROES has been updated to reflect current Lead Times.

2) Updated Service Parts listing current to March 29/08.

3) Low Velocity electric defrost heater amps corrected.

NOT included in this update is a new print form that will display a summary of the equipment on the order and a bug fix for the Contact List that has bothered many of us for quite some time.

RSU1 uploaded to April 2/08

Low Velocity Electrical Data

Posted by nroes on March 31, 2008

How is it that something can can be wrong for 2 years, and no one notices?  Thursday of last week it came to my attention that the electrical data for the electric defrost single phase evaps was incorrect.  NROES displayed the VA data as if the heaters were wired for 3 phase, yet 1 phase is the only choice.  OPPS!  At any rate, NROES will be updated tomorrow on the regularly scheduled Tuesday Update.
